On Jan 17th, 2016, Sami Jibril was 32nd in a world class field at the Houston Half Marathon in a time of 1:04.30 setting a Huskies Overall Club Record.

Sami is now ranked 4th in Canada (2 seconds behind 3rd) of declared athletes for qualifications to the 2016 World Half Marathon Championship in Great Britain. Sami has met the Qualifying Standard and Top 3 make the team. Final decisions will be made in early March.
